DECEMBER 2024 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello North County Newcomers December! Wow! It seems like just a minute ago it was the start to 2024! What a year it has been One of our NCNC milestones includes topping 400 members. We also successfully transitioned to a new Board in June with many fresh faces as your new leadership team – which reminds me to put a plug in early for recommending that YOU get involved with the super fun Board! Our Charter emphasizes a one-year commitment for Board positions, so really think about putting your name in the hat. We form a committee early next year to discuss and recruit! Any questions, just ask! Other fun activities we’ve had this year include our monthly general meetings. Such good times were had at wonderful venues around the North County. We have had interesting speakers, entertainers, and yummy food and drink! Remember the fantastic talent show? What great memories we have made. A special shout out to our event planners for their hard work. If event planning is your thing, we could use you on the Board next year too. How about the new activity groups that have formed! We now have another car group, wine group, hiking group, Zentangle, and book clubs. Many of our members continue to love the old favorites too, like AHHH (At Home Happy Hour), Girls’ night, DOTT (Dinner on the Town), Lunch Bunch, and more! Well, it has definitely been a good year And I am looking forward to 2025! I will see many of you at the iconic Madonna Inn on Tuesday, December 3rd for our annual holiday luncheon.
