JULY 2025 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to July!

As we step into a brand-new fiscal year
with a new Board, new ideas, and the promise of great memories ahead

I find myself feeling grateful and excited. July often brings a quieter pace. There’s sunshine, barbecues, kids on summer break… and the perfect excuse to slow down a little. At least, that’s the idea. For me? Not quite.

Stepping into the role of President should feel like familiar ground—especially after watching my amazing wife, Debbie, serve in this role with such heart and grace over the past year. She made it look easy! But I’m quickly learning there’s a lot to do: planning budgets, reviewing finances, welcoming new board members, writing this very message, and making sure you have everything you need to connect, enjoy, and belong over the next 12 months.

And outside of NCNC, life is full

I run a poker league out of my garage (yes, it's legal—mostly)

I lead NCNC Wine Adventures, a fun little wine tasting club

I play in a band—though you won’t find us on any stage (anywhere)

And most exciting of all:

My Son is getting Married on July 5th!

(I don’t get much say in the planning, but I am in charge of writing checks)

Oh—and one more thing

Just a month ago, I had a pulmonary embolism and spent two weeks in the hospital.

It was scary.

But I’m recovering, feeling stronger, and most of all

I’m deeply thankful
Thankful for the support of friends in this wonderful community who reached out, checked in, and reminded me what NCNC is really all about:

kindness,

connection, and

showing up for one another

So yes, I’m easing into July with a little more rest, a lot of gratitude, and so much anticipation for what’s to come.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I’m honored to serve as your President this year, and I can’t wait to spend time, share stories, and make memories with all of you.

Steve Gazay
